Interlock & Other Alcohol Monitoring Devices
Breath interlock devices have been used for several years, not only in the United States, but also in Canada and in Europe. They have been employed by courts to protect the public, and also by employers and the private sector to protect property. These articles set forth some of the research relating to the effectiveness of the devices, rates of compliance, and effects on recidivism, reduction of drinking episodes, and private industry applications.A link to an Alcohol Interlock Curriculum for Practitioners website is also provided.
